The scholarship program was created to encourage students to continue the momentum started while in the SAW or ECHO programs. It is also a symbol of sincere appreciation of the time Coaches and Career Advisors spend helping students meet their Continuing Education goals and Job Advancement goals. CLC is proud to announce the winners of the 2008 Scholarship Program.

Barbara Miles, Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL is enrolled in the Health Information Management Program at Florida Community College. Her long-term goal is to become a Registered Health Information Technician working as a Certified Coding Specialist.

“As I completed SAW’s 16 modules, I realized that continuing my education was an attainable goal. Whether I am in the classroom or the workplace, SAW has provided me with valuable tools that will help me in the many facets of my professional career. I anticipate that it will take me two years to receive my Associates of Science.”
